Dr. Samantha P. Herman, M.D.

Dr. Samantha P. Herman graduated cum laude from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.  She then earned her M.D. degree from Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School where she received multiple honors, including becoming a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.  She completed an internal medicine internship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Medical Center where she earned the honor of Medical Intern of the Year and completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital, both in New York City.  

Dr. Herman is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a clinical instructor in dermatology at Columbia University where she devotes her time teaching residents. Dr. Herman has published several peer-reviewed journal articles as well as authored chapters in dermatology textbooks.  She is married to Dr. Adrian Jachens, an ophthalmologist, and they have two wonderful children.  Dr. Herman enjoys her time outside of the office skiing, exercising and traveling with her family.
